From simple action to movement
The Patron™ is a lunch box that was created from the highest standards of design and functionality. The special thing about it is that it is produced exclusively in Europe and therefore does not have to be transported halfway around the globe, which is good for our environment. Its functionality includes another unique selling point: the opened lid can be fixed to the thigh with the webbing and thus functions as a cutting surface and tray for fresh food.
With the Patron Plasticfree Peaks initiative, Martin Säckl , Raphael Vogler, Christian Böhm, Zoe Marie Mendler, Martina Lindenmayr and I have created much more than a simple product. Patron stands for the protector that every human being should have inside him. Starting at your own doorstep and making a difference is the first right step towards a more sustainable and better future. Besides numerous CleanUpdays with more than thousands of participants along the Alps, we organize school workshops and art events to inspire and motivate more and more people for the cause.
What started out as a simple act (#grabitandtagit) has now grown into a sustainable movement across national borders.
The lid becomes a table with a simple move. No matter where you are food can be enjoyed freshly. (Patron™)
because we ourselves have still missed the perfect solution. To have both hands free, to look into the evening or morning sun and maybe take a snapshot at the same time, that was previously only possible inconveniently during the snack. In addition, we had to prepare cheese, sausage and vegetables already at home, or buy packaged in the last instance. With the Patron one does not come only at all into the temptation to buy packaged food and can in reverse cannot leave anything behind by mistake. The Opinel knife, which is embedded in the cutting board with a strong magnet, is of course included in the set and must not be missing on any tour.
The summit snack only becomes a real pleasure when you share it with others and the freshly prepared food can hand around thanks to the small tablet.

Conscious enjoyment and a conscious approach to food. This is what the simple design of the Patron is meant to convey. It is and remains a lunch box, but its versatility makes the Patron a companion in various situations in life. Whether you're mountaineering, ski touring, at the office, university or school, there's enough room for enough provisions for your day.
Especially with the closure, we have worked long to maintain the multifunctionality. The dual closure system allows the Patron to be closed securely and tightly. In addition, the webbing serves as a fixation on the thigh when open. Thus, the lid part with the integrated cutting board and Opinel knife can be used as a small table. No matter where you are, it is thus possible to prepare fresh food and do without packaging.
With the durable materials we have created a lunch box that will last for generations and is easy to repair. Contrary to the trend of a throwaway society, which would fall back on cheaper and shorter-lived materials, we deliberately use more robust and thus somewhat more expensive raw materials to counteract this trend.
The Instagram Stories were part of a crowdfunding campaign which was realized on Startnext.
